Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a fast-paced 28-bed unit with a diverse surgical and stroke patient population requiring a MI RN license and 2+ years of Med/Surg experience.
Details
- Level 2 North is a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes general surgery, vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, and trauma patients
- This unit also serves as the designated stroke unit for the hospital
- Fast-paced environment with strong learning opportunities for both new and experienced nurses
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required, verified through LARA and Nursys
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg (MS) experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
- Current full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for this position until at least 6 months after separation
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care to a diverse surgical and stroke patient population in a high-acuity Med/Surg environment
- A strict attendance policy is enforced — three instances of an unexcused absence or arriving more than 20 minutes late to a scheduled shift may result in immediate termination
- Exceptions to the attendance policy may be considered for documented communicable illness or hospitalization
- RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract
