Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a diverse 28-bed unit covering general surgery, vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients.

Details

• Level 2 North is a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes general surgery, vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke cases
• Fast-paced, challenging unit with strong learning opportunities for both new and experienced nurses

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required, including LARA and Nursys verification
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg (MS) nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within the past year is required
• If a license discrepancy exists, a written explanation is strongly recommended for manager review

Additional Information

• Prior full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
• A strict attendance policy is in place — three instances of missed shifts or arriving more than 20 minutes late may result in immediate termination; exceptions may be made for documented communicable illness or hospitalization
• RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract
• References are not required for consideration
