Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active SC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 286 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with telemetry monitoring on the unit
• 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Charting via Epic
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license in hand prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Community hospital experience preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates who were previously permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Local candidates are accepted but at a reduced rate
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
• Pre-start orientation modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• During hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity occurs in August and September
