Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Women's Services / OB night shift travel position in Lander, WY, requiring at least 2 years of recent L&D/OB experience and multiple active certifications.
Details
- Hospital-based Women's Services / OB unit
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- Patient population includes labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, triage, and OB/GYN (e.g., post-op hysterectomy) patients
- Circulating during C-sections and attending deliveries as needed
- Neonatal assessment performed at the C-section suite following delivery
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other units may be required based on census, in a helper or sitter capacity only
Requirements
- Active WY RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in L&D/LDRP, postpartum, Level 1 Nursery, and/or OB/GYN nursing
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN (BLS and ACLS must be issued through the American Heart Association; RQI certifications are not accepted)
- All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, patient assessments, and care coordination across disciplines
- Patient and family education is a core component of the role, tailored to age, culture, and condition
- Fetal monitoring certification renewal is required every two years
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
