Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position in Dayton, OH, requiring at least 2 years of Neuro ICU or comprehensive stroke center experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

Neuro ICU in a large hospital setting and designated comprehensive stroke center
Treats neurological diseases and disorders including seizures and strokes, as well as overflow patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU
Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
Travelers are first to float at the facility's discretion, within a specialty cluster, and will receive a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the floated unit
Floating may include assignments across three campuses: Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville, less than 10 miles away), and North Campus (Englewood, less than 15 miles away)
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

Active OH RN license or compact RN license required before contract start (not required at time of application)
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips required
Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital with some neuro experience required
Minimum 2 years of total RN experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

Provide nursing care to patients with neurological conditions including seizures and strokes, as well as overflow ICU patients
All RTO must be submitted at the time of initial application — no RTO requests will be accepted after an offer is made, and approval is at the manager's discretion
13-week contract
