Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with inpatient rehabilitation experience for a 12-week travel contract at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with 35 beds, specializing in stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, complex orthopedic injuries, and neurological conditions
• Patient population includes adults with neurological diagnoses, orthopedic conditions, debility, and related diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Shift hours are 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekend availability preferred but not required; no on-call requirements
• No floating requirements
• EHR system: UDS
• Facility features advanced therapy equipment including a robotic exoskeleton (EksoNR) and a virtual reality rehab tool (REAL y-Series)

Requirements

• Current OK PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
• Inpatient rehab or acute/rehabilitation hospital experience strongly preferred
• BLS/CPR certification required (AHA preferred)
• Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy required
• Must be a cooperative team player
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, orthopedic injuries, and other neurological or debility-related conditions
• Facility utilizes state-of-the-art therapy gyms, a therapy courtyard, an ADL apartment for functional training, and a retrofitted vehicle for mobility therapy
• Black scrubs required
• Flu vaccination required; candidates with an approved medical or religious exemption must submit a facility-specific exemption form and provide email approval — those with an exemption must wear a mask from November 1 through March 31
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
