Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency, working nights on a general medical-surgical unit with a primarily geriatric patient population.

Details

• General medical-surgical unit caring primarily for a geriatric population with varying diagnoses
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Travelers who have previously worked at any Piedmont facility must have been away for a full calendar year before returning as a traveler
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them and may request RTO for 1
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No special scheduling requests, shift changes, or alternate schedules are permitted
• Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be met on time; delays result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
