Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of scrub experience, including Neuro IR, for a 13-week assignment at an inpatient hospital facility.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within an inpatient hospital setting
• Patient population is primarily adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents
• Daily caseload of 13–17 cases
• Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies including stroke intervention
• Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment used; Acuson preferred
• Epic and Visage EMR used; experience preferred
• Day shift with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, 8 hours/day, Monday–Friday
• Primary and backup on-call rotation covering evenings, nights, and weekends
• No float requirement
• 13-week contract minimum

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of IR scrub experience, with required experience in Neuro IR including stroke intervention and body procedures
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Proficiency in vascular studies and procedures, PACS, and contrast administration
• Experience with inpatient hospital IR settings
• Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment experience required
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
• Experience in outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, community hospital settings, and ablations is preferred
• Orientation is held during the first week; candidate must be fully available each day with no other commitments
• Start date may fall on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week depending on class and trainer availability; missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start
• RTO is not permitted after booking and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
• Local candidates are accepted
• Scrubs are provided
• An interview with the manager is required prior to any offer being extended
