Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract in an academic medical center setting in Oregon.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department that rotates between two locations within the same health system
- Patient population spans neonates to geriatrics
- Procedures range from central line placements and embolizations to stroke interventions
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Average of 4–6 on-call shifts per month
- Epic EMR experience required
- May be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
- Current ARRT certification and BLS required
- OBMI certification required
- Active Oregon (OR) state license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- COVID vaccination proof required; no exemptions accepted
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assist interventionalists with radiographic procedures to demonstrate vascular and non-vascular structures for diagnosis and/or therapeutic intervention
- Deliver appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures
- Ensure radiation safety for all patients and team members throughout procedures
- First-time travelers should check with their recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restriction applies
- Candidates who are former employees of or previous travelers at this facility must have a reference completed by the supervising manager from that assignment
- Previous travelers must have been away from the facility for at least 6 months before returning
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of profile submission and may not exceed 2 weeks
