Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring ACLS, BLS, NRP, and teaching hospital experience, working night shifts at a facility in New Orleans, LA.
Details
- High-risk OB unit in a teaching hospital setting
- Labor & Delivery department serving a high-volume unit with approximately 200–300 births per month
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekend work required as needed
- On-call required as needed
- Float requirement to the Mother/Baby unit
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Epic EMR used (experience required)
Requirements
- Active Louisiana (LA) or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and FHM
- Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Supervisory reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Work history with any gaps of more than 30 days must be explained
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible for this travel assignment
