Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital, with ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications required and experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a 233-bed acute care hospital
• Mixed adult and pediatric patient population — travelers must be comfortable caring for both
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking on-site
• Navy scrubs required

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact equivalent required; must be valid and in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric ED patients required
• Experience with Glucostabilizer required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Previous permanent employees of the BJC health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Standard travelers may remain for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day on the floor
