Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital, requiring ACLS, PALS, and comfort with both adult and pediatric populations.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital Emergency Department with 233 staffed beds
• ED serves both adult and pediatric patient populations — candidates must be comfortable caring for both
• Patient ratio is 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Glucostabilizer experience required
• Charting is done via Epic — experience with Epic is required
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact license required; must be valid and in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
