Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 academic medical center, requiring TNCC and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience including pediatric exposure.

Details

  • Emergency Department (ED) setting at an academic medical center
  • Mid shift: 15:00–03:00 (3x12-hour shifts), with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs
  • 36 or 48 hours available per week
  • Every other holiday required
  • Weekend availability required
  • 13-week contract
  • Block scheduling is not available for this assignment
  • EMR: Epic experience required

Requirements

  • Active VA RN license or compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • TNCC required; pending TNCC will be accepted but must be obtained prior to start
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
  • At least 1 year of Level 1 trauma center experience, or 2 years of Level 2 trauma center experience required
  • Some pediatric ED experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license) and Social Security card required for consideration

  • No radius rule applies — local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
