American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week inpatient acute rehab assignment in Reno, NV, requiring an active NV license and willingness to work with behavioral health patients.

• 5x8-hour shifts per week; days of the week vary

• Patients include behavioral health (BH) population in addition to standard rehab caseload

Requirements

• Active Nevada OT license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• OTR credential required
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience in a U.S. hospital setting
• Bachelor's degree from an AOTA-accredited program required; Master's degree highly desired
• Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required
• Willingness to treat behavioral health patients required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required
• US SSN required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Provide comprehensive OT evaluations, program planning, and treatment administration as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Develop individualized, age-appropriate plans of care based on physician referrals and OT evaluations
• Accurately document all patient treatment in accordance with clinical standards
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months; at least one reference should be from the most recent employer
• Must demonstrate adaptability to new and changing work assignments
