Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo Technologist with 2+ years of experience performing stress echo, transesophageal, and transthoracic echocardiography in a community hospital setting.

Details

• Work in the Echocardiography department of a community hospital with 92 beds
• Position requires floating between two campuses — Mid Coast (Brunswick, ME) and Lincoln (Damariscotta, ME) — within a 25-mile float policy
• Typical caseload of 6–7 patients per day
• Procedures include stress echo, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE)
• Equipment includes Philips EPIQ ultrasound system
• EMR is Epic
• Day shift, 40 hours per week, with shift times of either 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• No call requirements
• No weekend hours required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Echo Tech experience
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or RDCS certification required
• BLS required
• Proficiency in stress echo, TEE, and TTE required
• Experience with Philips EPIQ equipment preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• IV skills preferred but not required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• IV starts may be performed as part of daily responsibilities
• High teamwork orientation and a positive attitude are important to success in this role
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this when applying
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility in Maine or New Hampshire are considered local and are not eligible for this renewal/extension position
• Travel pairs or groups are not permitted for this assignment
