Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

  • Emergency Department (ER) unit in an academic medical center setting
  • Patient population includes trauma, stroke, STEMI, psychiatric holds, and pediatric emergencies
  • Patient ratio of approximately 1:3.5
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
  • Every other or every third weekend required
  • Floating required
  • Epic EMR used for documentation
  • Pyxis medication dispensing system in use

Requirements

  • Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
  • Proficiency in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care
  • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified facility preferred

Additional Information

  • 13-week assignment
  • 36 hours of orientation provided
  • Navy scrubs required
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • No break between assignments required when changing representation (except for Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break)
  • Several parking options are available near the facility at varying price points, including permit-based lots with shuttle service
  • All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
