Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with a doctoral degree and 2+ years of experience for a day shift inpatient rehab travel assignment in Longview, TX.

Details

• Physical Therapy department at an acute care hospital in Longview, TX
• Day shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Floating required; no on-call requirements
• Medhost EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Doctoral degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
• Minimum 2 years of PT experience required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient rehab experience required
• Current TX PT license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Recent grads and LPTAs will not be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
• Patient education on long-term self-management and wellness is a core component of the role
• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Driver's license required for consideration
