Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Vermont, requiring prior travel experience, Epic proficiency, and L&D/LDRP background for a 16-week night shift contract.

Details

• Women's and Children's L&D unit in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday — no block schedules
• 16-week contract with potential extension up to 32 weeks
• Floating within the unit is required
• On-call requirement: 2 x 12-hour shifts per rolling 4-week period
• Minimum every-other-weekend availability required; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Epic EMR is required and non-negotiable
• Patient care includes labor & delivery, LDRP, newborn care, and neonatal resuscitation support

Requirements

• Active RN license in Vermont (VT) or a Compact RN license — VT licensure is not required at time of application, but candidates without it must be prepared to apply promptly upon offer
• New York (NY) RN candidates may be considered with proof of a pending NY license
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE
• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required, including LDRP experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Experience as a baby nurse at delivery, including participation in neonatal resuscitations, APGAR scoring, and administration of newborn post-delivery medications
• At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required — one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
• Must work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Candidates living within 50 miles (straight-line distance) of the facility are considered local; those 51–100 miles away are subject to a different pay tier
• This position is interview-to-offer (no skills testing required)
