Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a 13-week assignment at a 307-bed academic teaching hospital in Pittsfield, MA.

Details

• Position is based in the Radiology department of a 307-bed academic teaching hospital designated as Trauma Level III
• State-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department providing MRI and other modalities
• Approximately 9 patients per shift
• GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI scanners in use
• Meditech Expanse EMR (highly preferred)
• Varied shift schedule covering days and evenings: Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and/or 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, and Sat–Sun 7:00 AM–11:30 PM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• On-call coverage is possible; after midnight the department transitions to call coverage
• 40-hour work week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current MRI experience required
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Active AHA BLS required
• GE equipment experience required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must be willing to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
• Must be willing to take call as needed
• Must have a personal vehicle
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Current MRI skills checklist (within the past year) required for consideration
• One supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
• License required if applicable

• Technologists always work alongside another Tech Aide or MRI Tech/Traveler and will never work solo

• Part of a health system serving Berkshire County, MA and surrounding communities in NY, CT, and VT
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be approved; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — requests made after an offer is extended may result in a rescinded offer
• Non-billable orientation period included
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible — prior travel experience is implied by the requirements
