Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position in Iowa, requiring an active IA or compact RN license along with ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Hospital Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Every 6th weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS (Healthcare Provider), ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification required
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department under limited supervision, including planning, directing, and evaluating patient care
• Responsibilities include medication and IV administration, accurate documentation, and implementing physician orders and nursing care plans
• May be asked to assist Med-Surg and other departments with direct patient care, STAT orders, and medication administration as needed
• Supports infection control policies, participates in orientation and in-service training, and attends required meetings
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Professional dress code with name badge required at all times
