Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with acute care experience for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute hospital setting in Corpus Christi, TX.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Physical Medicine & Therapy department
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required
• Minimum 1 year of experience; acute care experience required
• Current TX PT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Familiarity with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Guide to Physical Therapy Practice
• Strong communication skills required
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Active, non-expired copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include interpreting and carrying out physician-prescribed therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability through physical exercise, massage, heat, water, and other modalities
• Utilizes mechanical and electrical equipment as well as prosthetic and orthotic devices
• Oversees and provides direction to PT assistants, support staff, volunteers, and students within the department
• Provides input on performance evaluations of assistants and support staff
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
