Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with a minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience for a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center.
Details
- High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center known for complex, high-volume, and diverse trauma cases
- X-Ray department with cross-coverage expectations across the OR, ED, inpatient floors, and portable imaging as needed
- Patient population includes adults with exposure to pediatric and neonatal imaging expected
- EMR: Epic and Sectra (experience preferred)
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, and CareStream radiologic systems
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
- Floating within the facility is expected based on departmental need
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2–3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
- Experience in the OR, ED, inpatient, and portable X-ray settings required
- Willingness to work with pediatric and neonatal patients
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT-accredited radiologic technology program required
- Proven ability to perform in high-pressure, fast-paced, high-volume trauma environments
- Active state license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluate images for technical quality
- Will work alongside radiology students and perform competency check-offs as part of the role
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals are not a strong fit for this role given the intensity and complexity of cases
