Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience or 2-3 years at a large Level 2 trauma facility.

Details

• Acute care inpatient hospital setting within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Work spans multiple areas including the OR, ED, inpatient units, and portable imaging
• Willingness to work with pediatric and neonatal patient populations required
• Primary department assignment with floating to other areas as needed
• EMR systems include Epic and Sectra; equipment includes GE, Philips, and CareStream
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 PM – 9:30 AM
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2-3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
• Demonstrated success in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments with complex and severe cases
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• Graduation from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiologic technology program required
• Proficiency operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
• Experience with Epic and/or Sectra EMR preferred
• Active state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluating images for technical quality
• Will work alongside radiologic technology students and perform competency check-offs
• Mask fit testing is required
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• This facility handles complex, diverse, and high-volume trauma cases — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
