Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience or 2-3 years at a large Level 2 trauma facility.
Details
- Acute care inpatient hospital setting within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- Work spans multiple areas including the OR, ED, inpatient units, and portable imaging
- Willingness to work with pediatric and neonatal patient populations required
- Primary department assignment with floating to other areas as needed
- EMR systems include Epic and Sectra; equipment includes GE, Philips, and CareStream
- 4x10 hour night shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 PM – 9:30 AM
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2-3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
- Demonstrated success in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments with complex and severe cases
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- Graduation from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiologic technology program required
- Proficiency operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
- Experience with Epic and/or Sectra EMR preferred
- Active state license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluating images for technical quality
- Will work alongside radiologic technology students and perform competency check-offs
- Mask fit testing is required
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- This facility handles complex, diverse, and high-volume trauma cases — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
