Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 2 NICU position in Winchester, TN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and active TN or Compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Located in the OB/3rd floor department of an acute and skilled care facility
• Level 2 NICU setting with a 4-bed NICU unit
• Patient population includes laboring/postpartum mothers and newborns
• Common diagnoses include respiratory distress and hypoglycemia
• NICU patient ratio is 3:1
• Equipment used includes CPAP, ventilators, UVC lines, and IV therapy
• EMR systems used are Meditech and OB Tracevue
• Float requirement to Postpartum and Well Baby Nursery
• Every 3rd weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. — all must be AHA-issued and in hand prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of Level 2 or higher NICU experience required
• Well newborn nursery experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Solid-color scrubs required; printed scrubs are not permitted
