Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of acute care experience for a night shift Pulmonary Services position at a 558-bed acute care teaching facility in Atlantis, FL.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory/Pulmonary Services department of a 558-bed acute care medical/surgical facility and healthcare complex
- Facility specializes in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, and bariatrics
- Nationally recognized teaching facility
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Equipment used includes oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP/BiPAP, V60, Servo-I, Servo-U, and high-flow oxygen devices
- Charting/documentation via Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
- Patient ratios vary
- On-call requirements as needed
- Unit staffed with 5–8 team members including a supervisor RRT and 4–8 RRTs per shift
Requirements
- Active RRT credential and state license (license required if applicable)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
- At least one prior travel assignment completed
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs not accepted
- Two professional references required (due to Florida-based position)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema
- Stroke education and experience is preferred
- An active, collaborative approach with physicians is preferred
- Grey scrubs required
- All certifications must remain active and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date; AHA or ARC certifications accepted
