Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Intermediate Care position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience.

Details

• Position is on the R4 Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Assigned to float team with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Patient care includes insulin drips, cardiac drips, IV starts, and post cardiac cath monitoring
• 12-hour day shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday
• Every other weekend requirement at minimum
• Block schedules are not available for any reason
• Epic EMR experience required
• 16-week contract with possibility of extension up to 32 weeks

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required; proof of pending application with applied date is acceptable
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable
• At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one from within the past 6 months, one from within the past year of employment)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Additional Information

• This is an interview-to-offer (IVO) position
• Bi-weekly orientations begin on Mondays; next available orientation is 6/15
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Vermont licensure is not required at time of submission; candidates without VT licensure will be considered
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type for each position listed
• This facility is strict about submission completeness — missing required items may result in disqualification
