Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a short-term acute care hospital in Oregon, requiring at least 1–2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 109 licensed beds
• Labor & Delivery unit with potential float to other units and facilities based on skill set
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for laboring patients and 1:3 for postpartum patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between multiple facilities within Oregon is expected; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
• Scrubs are provided for this unit
• No parking fees on-site

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of L&D experience required; candidates with 1–1½ years will be considered if experience was in a high-risk, high-census L&D unit
• LDRP experience strongly preferred, with demonstrated experience in both labor and postpartum care
• At least 1 year of labor training required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply (license pending candidates accepted)
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates should have minimal RTO requests, as excessive RTO may impact the hiring process
• All RTO or scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may be denied
• When floating to the Seaside facility, travelers receive an hourly pay incentive plus IRS mileage reimbursement; hotel accommodations are provided for consecutive float shifts to Seaside
