Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, ARRT (Mammography) certification, and IEMA licensure for a day-shift outpatient imaging role.

Details

• Outpatient imaging department setting serving adult and geriatric patients
• Procedures include 3D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, and screening mammograms
• Equipment includes Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX systems
• Epic used for documentation; experience preferred
• Pyxis medication system in use
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No on-call, no weekends, and no floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required; 5 years preferred
• ARRT registration in Mammography required
• BLS certification required (AHA only; HeartCode not accepted)
• IEMA license required if applicable
• Must have 40 documented contact hours of mammography-specific training covering anatomy and physiology, positioning and compression, quality control/assurance, and imaging patients with implants
• Must have performed a minimum of 25 mammography exams under direct supervision of a qualified individual
• Must have completed 8 hours of training in each mammographic modality used
• Experience with 3D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, Hologic 3D, and Hologic Affirm BX required
• Experience with isolation precautions, radiation safety, and universal precautions/core measures required
• Outpatient radiology experience required

• Caribbean blue scrubs required; not provided by the facility
• Preferred experience includes fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, stereotactic biopsy, and digital quality assurance procedures
