Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a high-volume, Trauma Level IV teaching hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of MRI experience and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
Details
- Work in the MRI department of a 182-bed Trauma Level IV designated teaching hospital that also serves as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
- Patients include a variety of diagnoses across ED, inpatient, and outpatient areas
- Department sees an average of 325 patients per day across all imaging modalities
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- Equipment includes Siemens and GE MRI systems
- 12-hour evening shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- Current BLS required
- ARRT(R) or NMTCB required, plus ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT required
- Active state license required if applicable
- Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for this travel position
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Orientation includes online NEO courses followed by 3–5 days of departmental training depending on modality
- Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
- Department culture emphasizes high volume and team accountability for patient-centered care
- Nursing and transport support available within the department
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
- Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
