Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience for an acute care hospital SLP department in Georgia.

Details

• Acute care hospital SLP department supporting patients throughout the facility based on physician orders
• Treats a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses including ICU, stroke/neurological, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive cases
• 8-hour day shifts, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• 5 shifts per week with a minimum of 2 weekends per 4-week period (4 weekends per 4 weeks preferred)
• 13-week contract
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an SLP within specialty
• Active Georgia SLP license required if applicable
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Prior acute care SLP experience is preferred
• Proficiency in Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) is a plus but not required
• Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break before being considered
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made
• Copies of AHA certifications (must not be expired) required for consideration
