Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Georgia.

Details

• Acute care SLP department supporting patients throughout the hospital based on physician orders
• Wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses including ICU, stroke/neurological, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive cases
• 8-hour day shifts, 8:00am–4:30pm with some schedule variation
• 5 shifts per week, 40 hours per week
• Minimum of 2 weekends per 4-week period required; 4 weekends per 4-week period preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an SLP
• Active Georgia SLP license required if applicable
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Prior acute care experience strongly preferred
• MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) and FEES proficiency a plus but not required
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have at least a 2-year break before being considered
• All RTO must be requested upfront prior to offer acceptance; requests cannot be made after an offer is extended
• References are not required for initial consideration but will be needed during the compliance process
