Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a rural community hospital in Hawaii, requiring a current HI RN license and prior L&D experience.

Details

Rural community hospital setting in Kona, Hawaii
Labor & Delivery and Nursery unit with couplet care responsibilities
Facility averages 45–50 deliveries per month
12-hour night shifts with a schedule of 72–80 working hours per two-week period
Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring required
May float to assist other departments in a secondary capacity, not as a primary nurse
13-week contract

Requirements

Active Hawaii (HI) RN license currently in hand — required before consideration
Current certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and C-EFM
Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience required
Prior Labor & Delivery experience is required
Couplet care and nursery experience required
Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring skills required

Additional Information

Provide L&D and nursery care within a couplet care model at a rural community hospital
May be assigned charge nurse duties on occasion
COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
