Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience proficient in both peripheral vascular and neurovascular IR procedures for a Level 1 trauma center.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department with 4 IR rooms equipped with 2 single-plane and 2 biplane Siemens C-arms
- Two IR techs are assigned per room — one circulates and one scrubs
- Procedures include angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, central line insertions, and more
- Patient population includes peripheral vascular, neurovascular, and interventional oncology cases
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement every 3rd or 4th weekend, starting Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
- Travelers may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Cerner EMR — experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Proficiency in both peripheral vascular IR and neurovascular IR required
- Skills must include scrubbing peripheral and neuro cases: stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrostomy, drainages, upper and lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic, vascular and venous studies, and neurological studies
- Current BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) and ARRT certification required
- Cerner charting experience required
- IN state license or Compact license required if applicable
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this Allied/IR position
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
