Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and an active MD or compact RN license, with rotating night and evening shifts.

Details

Emergency Department (ED) setting within a hospital environment
Patients across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric, with varied and complex multi-system diagnoses in a fast-paced environment
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
Rotating night and evening shifts: 19:00–07:30 or 15:00–03:30; primary need is night shift
Schedule of 3x12 or 4x12 hours accepted
Every other weekend required
Holidays required as scheduled
Floating within the specialty and to sister ED facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, and Queenstown) as needed
No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required

Requirements

Active RN license for Maryland (MD state or compact)
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ED/emergency nursing experience required

Additional Information

CPI certification will be completed during onboarding
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Holiday shifts are required as they fall on the schedule
Any time-off requests should be disclosed upfront during the consideration process
