Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel ICU/CCU position in Kirksville, MO, requiring critical care experience and ACLS certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Position is located in an Intensive/Coronary Care Unit (ICU/CCU) with 10 beds
• Day shift schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:1–3
• EMR system: MedHost
• Occasional floating may be required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/critical care experience required
• Proficiency in drip titration and ventilator management
• TNCC preferred; balloon pump and/or Impella experience preferred
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required
• U.S. Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include critical care nursing, drip titration, and ventilator management
• Balloon pump and Impella experience is helpful but not required
• Scrub color: any solid color
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 1+ year of recent ICU experience is required
