Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN OR Circulator for a 13-week travel contract in Cape Girardeau, MO, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience including General Surgery, Urology, GYN, and Orthopedics with DaVinci Xi proficiency.

- Operating Room setting at a 244-bed hospital serving Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois
- Specialty focus on General Surgery including Urology, GYN, and Orthopedic procedures (scopes and arthroplasty)
- Surgical patient population
- Day shift, 4x10 schedule with a limit of 3 Fridays or Mondays off per 6-week schedule
- On-call required approximately every 6–7 days with rotating weekend call; scheduled late shifts are also required as designated coverage (not call)
- No float requirements
- Equipment used includes DaVinci Xi robotic system, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, and Beach Chair positioning
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only); no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience in General Surgery (including Urology and GYN) and Orthopedics required
- Hands-on experience with DaVinci Xi robotic system required
- Experience with Hana Table, Arthrex tower, and Beach Chair positioning required
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
- No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- The circulating RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating perioperative patient care and serving as a patient advocate throughout the surgical experience
- Candidates should be flexible across case types, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-paced OR environment
- Hospital-provided scrubs are used in the OR; black scrubs required — no other colors accepted
- Flu vaccination is required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client-approved
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
- Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after completion, they must either separate from the facility for a minimum of 1 year or transition to a facility outside the 50-mile radius
