Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and STEMI and Stroke facility experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
- Cares for all age groups across a diverse patient population including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health cases
- Hospital specialties include a cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (occasional 3:00 PM–3:00 AM shifts as needed)
- Up to every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
