Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in the Dallas, TX area, with a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and required on-call availability.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital surgical unit in the Mesquite, TX area
• Day/Mid shift hours: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Primary procedures include orthopedic (total knees, hips, shoulders, and ankles), podiatry, GYN, and general/laparoscopic cases
• On-call is required per unit needs, with rotating call 1–2 days per week and 1 weekend per month
• Charting is performed in Epic; prior Epic experience is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license with TX as the issuing state required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience, including circulating experience
• Experience with orthopedic, podiatry, GYN, and general/laparoscopic procedures preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Circulating experience is required; scrub experience is a plus
• Facility accepts local candidates
• Hospital-provided scrubs available; any color scrubs are also accepted
