Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OR/Surgery position in the Dallas, TX area, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience including circulating and orthopedic procedures, with Epic EMR experience required.
Details
- Work in the Surgery/OR department of an acute care hospital in Mesquite, TX
- Day/Mid shift hours: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- Orthopedic (total knees, hips, shoulders, and ankles), podiatry, GYN, and general/laparoscopic procedures performed in this unit
- On-call required per unit needs: rotating call 1–2 days per week and 1 weekend per month
- Charting system: Epic
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience preferred, with at least 1 year in the specialty required
- Circulating experience required; scrub experience is a plus
- Experience with orthopedic, podiatry, GYN, and general/laparoscopic procedures strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Circulate in a variety of OR cases including orthopedic, podiatry, GYN, and general/laparoscopic procedures
- Scrub technician skills are a bonus but not required
- Hospital provides scrubs; any color scrubs are also acceptable
