Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and remote telemetry monitoring experience, with night shifts and a multi-campus float requirement.

Details

Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
Primary patient population is Medical/Surgical, with telemetry monitoring capabilities
Patient ratio is 1:5–6
Remote telemetry monitoring is utilized on this unit
Epic EMR is used and experience is required
Schedule is nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
Floating to all system campuses as needed for patient care is required

Requirements

Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Remote telemetry monitoring experience required
Charge RN experience preferred
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

All RNs, regardless of specialty, must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam as part of compliance — two attempts are allowed
Study materials for the EKG exam will not be provided by the facility; candidates should prepare in advance
Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
