Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Waco, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARRT or ARMRIT certification.

Details

• Outpatient and inpatient MRI imaging setting serving ambulatory and hospital patients
• Patient population spans all age groups: newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Call required: 1 full week every 7–8 weeks (Mon–Fri 7:00 PM–7:00 AM and full 48-hour weekend coverage Saturday–Sunday)
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Active ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• TX license required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exemptions are accepted

Additional Information

• Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to established exam protocols under general supervision of a Radiologist
• Responsible for patient screening, positioning, immobilization device setup, and equipment adjustment prior to each procedure
• Maintains MRI equipment and work area to quality and cleanliness standards, and collaborates with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Documents and maintains all relevant patient records, including history, pregnancy status, consent forms, and shielding precautions
• May serve as a preceptor, providing training to new team members on services and procedures
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; no inappropriate prints
