Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in St. Louis, MO, requiring at least 2 years of cardiac invasive cath lab experience and active MO or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Located in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 cath labs on unit
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 0630–1700
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirements as needed by the facility
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state license eligible for Missouri endorsement
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac invasive cath lab experience required; 4 years preferred
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled

Additional Information

• Circulates and monitors procedures in the cardiac interventional cath lab
• Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Flu vaccination or a facility-approved exemption is required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a 1-year separation from the facility or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
• The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center
