Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical (nights) position at an acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IL RN license.

• 158-bed acute care hospital setting
• Medical/Surgical unit
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule is Monday–Friday with a rotating day off; most shift needs fall Monday–Thursday
• Patient ratio: 1:5–6
• Floating required within service line and scope
• No on-call requirements
• No weekend requirements
• Charting: Epic (experience required)
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license is acceptable for consideration — please note this on your profile)
• Active MO state RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Navy scrubs required
• RTO is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
