Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift travel position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

Details

Hospital Med/Surg unit setting
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
No on-call requirements
Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
8-week contract length

Requirements

Active GA or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
Current certifications must be on file and available for consideration
Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates are accepted for this position
No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule changes will be accommodated
RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
Holiday coverage is required: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them
Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as 1)
Travelers who have previously worked at any Piedmont facility must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
Full compliance with all onboarding requirements is required on time; delays may result in a 2-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
