Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Observation Unit position at a Level II Trauma hospital in Huntington, WV, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS and NIH certifications.

Details

• Fast-paced Observation Unit in a 330-bed, Level II Trauma hospital
• Med/surg level patient population with an expected length of stay of 48 hours
• Charting performed in Cerner
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Free parking available in both a parking lot and parking garage

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of a valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Required scrub color is Hunter Green; a Cabell-branded t-shirt may be substituted for the scrub top
• Staff reporting to the Surgery department must change into facility-provided surgical scrubs
