Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with neurosurgical expertise for a travel assignment at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital in Washington State.
Details
- Work setting is a 629-bed short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Teaching hospital environment
- Operating Room unit with a focus on neurosurgical cases including craniotomies and complex spine procedures
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 2:45 PM)
- Floating required to other services within the main OR and between facilities within Washington State as needed
- On-call required once per week, with one on-call weekend every six weeks
- Weekends required for on-call only
- Block schedules are not required
- Charting in Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Full competency in neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies and complex spine, is required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
Additional Information
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties for neurosurgical procedures, with occasional floating to other OR service lines
- Any color scrubs are permitted for RNs
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; requests should be submitted upfront as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
- Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
- No parking fee at the facility
