Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2 years of experience, AHA certifications, and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• 36-hour weekly work commitment on a 36/36 schedule
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to Med/Surg required (1:7 patient ratios)

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN or compact license required, must be active at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract nurses are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside regular patient care responsibilities
• Local candidates are not accepted — must live 100+ miles from the facility
