Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer specializing in pediatrics, with ARDMS certification and experience in congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac disease.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting in a dedicated pediatric echo/cardiology unit
  • 3 echo rooms with an average of 8 visits per day
  • Patient population ranges from neonates to adults, with a focus on congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac disease
  • 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • On-call required approximately once every 8 weeks
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Floating required within the specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within clinical scope
  • 12-week contract

Requirements

  • ARDMS certification required, including RDCS (AE) and RDCS (PE) credentials
  • Current BLS required
  • Experience with pediatric echocardiography, including neonatal through adult populations
  • Experience with congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac disease required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Perform echocardiographic studies across a pediatric patient population, including neonates, with diagnoses encompassing congenital and acquired cardiac conditions
  • Scrubs provided for OR cases; any pediatric-appropriate scrubs may be worn in non-OR settings
