Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in the Kansas City area, requiring a KS or compact RN license and offering flexible shift options across days, mids, and nights.

• Hospital emergency department setting
• Three shift options available: day shift, flexible mid shift, and night shift
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Day shift weekend requirement: four weekend shifts per month (Saturday/Sunday)
• Night shift weekend requirement: six weekend shifts per month (Friday/Saturday/Sunday, with Friday counting as a weekend day)
• Scheduler will make reasonable attempts to cohort weekend shifts to every other weekend, though adjustments may be necessary based on staffing
• No float requirement
• No on-call requirement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas (KS) or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Emergency department nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius rule applies
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 90 days before returning as a traveler
• Two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are required, or an approved declination must be on file (booster not required)
• A copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card will be needed for consideration
