Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU (Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care) travel position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency, working day shifts at a major academic medical center in Albany, NY.

Details

• Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care (Neuro ICU/SICU) unit in a large academic medical center
• Patient population includes trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU staff experience with trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; must be issued by AHA or RQI
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• A competency test must be completed within 24 hours of consideration; ensure an up-to-date email address is on file
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
